Unique Training!

All Star Performance Training is a unique way of training for athletes that focuses on building speed, power, and explosion, three components of all sports. Our training center features the complete line of FlexBand ® exercise equipment. FlexBands ® were developed by form er football coach Dick Hartzell to help athletes become more explosive during competition.

FlexBands ® are the original continuous loop bands used by pro baseball, football and basketball teams, as well as powerlifters. They can also be found at most major colleges and universities across the country.

FlexBands ® are used in a variety of settings for strength training and rehab. The bands provide variable isotonic exercise, meaning that the pressure changes throughout the range of motion. The resistance increases as the lifter's joint angles improve, making this a safe and effective alternative training method."

FlexBands ® are 41" in length and come in six sizes with resistances varying from 5 pounds to 200 pounds per band, so they can be used by anyone. The difference between the sizes is the width of the bands with wider bands providing greater resistance.
For the performance athlete, Flexbands® are being used in a variety of ways and constitute a crucial factor in: preventing injuries, enhancing flexibility, improving maximal strength, increasing the rate of force development, accelerating rehabilitation after injuries, enabling functional strength training and enabling the performance of sports specific movements.
For the recreational athlete, Flexbands® can be used in all of the afford mentioned ways but are also used as a replacement gym for home, the office or on the road as they are light, easy to store and enable anyone to perform many exercises anytime, anywhere.
Life and sports have many similarities and training for sports or training for everyday activities should be performed while taking the following factors into consideration:
· Movement: nothing in life or sports is fixed and we as athletes and people move in time and space.
· We move in three planes: Sagittal (forward - backward), Frontal (left-right), transverse (twisting or spinning) and combinations of the three.
· We move by applying force on the surfaces below us i.e. ground (except in water sports).
· Our bodies are designed to work in coordination rather than isolation, every motion we make involves several muscles and joints working in coordination.
· Most athletic movements are explosive.
This all means that true functional training for athletes and everyday people (beyond the fitness marketing “buzz word”) should be dynamic, multi-planar, ground based and multi-joint. True functional sports training should also incorporate explosive movementsm Flexbands® are an essential tool in enabling true functional training for sports and for life. Bottom line : Flexbands® are a powerful and versatile tool for true functional training.

ATTENTION COACHES!

Come and join us at one of our training sessions and see for yourself how your athletes can benefit from our unique style of training. Allow your team to gain the edge that will separate them from their competition. All the exercises at All Star Performance Training recruit fast-twitch muscle fibers in order to help athletes build speed, power and explosion. With the use of Flexbands, our training allows athletes to perform the drills at full speed, while at the same time building power with different resistance from the Flexbands. No other training can accomplish this. Bring a few of your athletes to try out a class for free, or just check us out on your own to see the benefits for yourself.

Attention Football Players!

Speed, Power, & Explosion are key components required for football players. Traditional exercises in the weight room do not address these components, and football practice is directed towards specific game planning and technique. Recruiting fast twitch muscle fibers is essential to improve speed, power & explosion, and can only be accomplished with certain, unique types of training. If you want to improve your performance on the field to make the team, become a starter, or excel as an athlete with the efforts of earning a college football scholarship, check out All Star Performance Training.
